Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 4/21/23.

Appearance: pale golden hue with a thick finger of frothy eggshell foam; the body has a very teeny tiny touch of haze. I think it's pretty!

Smell: lightly malty aroma with a bit of lagery yeastiness. There's also a tiny touch of melon-y fruitiness to it; whether that's due to the hops or the yeast, I don't know, but I like it. Ha - reading the can, I see this was fermented with a kveik yeast -- that explains the fruitiness!

Taste: the malt is not too sweet or too dry, although there is a rich maltiness. Some bitterness comes in at the end, but it's not too much. It's balanced, and I like that.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body but with a big carbonation and a nice creaminess for the style.

Overall: a refreshing and tasty beer; I think this would hold up to some session drinking!

Pours a clear golden yellow with plenty of foam in the Orval chalice. Inviting cereal aroma with an intriguing flowery note. Spritzy on the tongue with a mellow taste and tangy finish. Flavor is light malt touched with honey and a little sweetness. Tettnanger and Saphir hops according to the label, plus the NOrwegian Kviek yeast and fermented cold. This is a very flavorful and aromatic Lager and seems to be better than other Kviek styles I"ve had. A perfumey zing into the aftertaste and the slightest bitterness. From the 16 oz can dated 4/21/23.

Sun Compass from Reuben’s Brews. 16 fl oz can from @snaotheus in NBW BIF 17. Reviewed 15/05/23 (Review 3102). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Bottom of can stamped with date but it’s totally illegible. Stored at 34 degrees at home. Served at 43.5 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 50.1 degrees F.
Appearance – 3.5
First pour – Pale Straw (SRM 28), clear.
Body – Pale Straw (SRM 2), clear. Under direct light, same. When rear lite, same.
Head: Average (Maximum 3.5 cm, aggressive center pour), white, high density, quickly diminishing, reducing to a 0.15 – 0.3 cm crown constantly renewed by carbonation, and a thin partial cap.
Lacing – Poor. A broken ring of small to medium bubbles
Aroma – 3 – Smells doughy, a bit musty – i.e., weakly yeasty. No malt, no hops. No ethanol (5.3 % ABV as marked on the label).
Flavor – 3 – Yeasty with a bit of hop bitterness. No malt, no hops. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. No gastric warming.
Palate – 3 – Thin; watery; soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.25 Looks decent but both aroma and flavor are mostly mold. Body approaches Bud Lite. Distinctly not my cup of meat – literally leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.

Pours a brilliantly bright and clear gold, sudsy quick forming white head; doesn't stick around a nice opaque film remains.

Nose is lightly doughy and grainy, brightly herbal almost leaning into floral; pear.

Taste is very lightly toasted white bread, herbal and lightly grassy hops; a pear skin or white grape like fruitiness.

Light but leaning towards medium body; moderately dry with some lingering black pepper hop presence; carbonation is lightly effervescent.

16oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. Can is dated 04/20/23, I think, but it's smeared and hard to read. Bought it at the brewery not too long ago.

Pours a clear light yellow with a slightly brassy shine to it. Big, two-and-a-half finger head, moderate carbonation. Smell is mostly grain tea with a little bit of an earthiness, a light lager yeast funk.

Taste is also pretty strong on the grain tea, but there's an earthy bitterness. Clean, pleasant, but light on flavor.

Mouthfeel is light and clean. Overall, it's reasonably good, it's very very drinkable, but it's nothing special.

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. Packaged on 4/20/2023 according to date stamp.
The beer pours a clear golden color with a minimal fizzy bleached white head of about .5 cm. this foam fades to one small wispy island in the center of my glass.
Aroma is fairly mild with a bit of graininess and some lemon citrus notes. actually not much else here.
First sip reveals a light body and smooth easy drinking texture. Very fine tingly carbonation and this beer drinks very easy. Flavor is some grainy malt and lemon mixing with some sweet honey and general fruitiness. Not a lot of hop bite or bitterness and this beer drinks very easy. Not an overly robust nose or flavor profile, but interesting enough to be an enjoyable lager.
