Long-lasting foam on clear amber brew in the spiky tumbler. Aromatic in the piney way. Tangy and resiny and bitter. There is a slight sweetness to the sturdy malt body, but not much. Finishes with grapefruit peel. Very bitter aftertaste. Makes me salivate, and not in a nice way. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Date illegible.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Packaged 04/22/24. Bought it at Pint Defiance yesterday.
Pours clear burnished brass with a gigantic, fluffy head (on an extremely vigorous pour). Head slowly decomposes into big uneven pillowy piles. Smell is pine, biscuit, resin, and honeysuckle.
Taste doesn't exactly discard the biscuit and honeysuckle, but their asses are kicked by the resin and pine bitterness. Nice.
Mouthfeel is medium, with a bit of a fluffiness. Overall, this is a WC IIPA and I like it a lot.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with coppery notes and a fine two finger white head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma of light biscuit and caramel malt, citrus hops, orange, light mixed tropical fruit. Flavor follows with more more pine; caramel malt with light biscuit, citrus and piney hops, light tropical fruit, orange and grapefruit. Lots of pine in the finish with lingering resin. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A nicely hopped Northwest style IPA with a good blend of hop flavors, mixed fruit and an old fashioned caramel malt body that stays out of the way of the hops, but supports them nicely. I haven't had a Crikey for a while, but I think I like this one a bit better with the expected higher ABV enhancement of flavors. Nicely done.
