This fresh hop twist on a traditional German-style Lager brightens Oktoberfest season with vibrant floral and grassy notes layered over the smooth, bready profile of a classic Festbier. Prost to fresh hops!

16oz can served in a curvy Monhegan pint glass. Can is dated 08/20/25. I think I got it at Chuck's Hop Shop Seward Park.
Pours clear light yellow, pours with about a half finger of head, moderate carbonation sustaining a thin skin and a medium sized ring. Smell is lots of floral and citrus, something almost bubblegummy. Grain is there, but not very dominant.
Taste is nice and grainy, earthy bitter, lots of grass. Fresh hop presence is negligible.
Mouthfeel is light, smooth, maybe a bit on the still side. Overall, it's pretty good as a festbier, it's unimpressive as a fresh hop.

Handsome clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the pFriem dimpled mug. Very light and crispy on the tongue with an aroma of grass and straw. This is just slightly sweet, and actually dry compared to the sugary Paulaner Oktoberfest I tried earlier. But it does have that bready taste of malt to go with the very slight tang of hops. There is a modest bitter tang in the finish but it's in keeping with the Fest style. This is really a delicious brew that straddles the styles and is new to my experience. Well worth looking for and I would get a four pack at least to have when you want a more robust Lager. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.
