This stuff poured a light amber color and had an average whitish head. The nose has some faint grainy malts and not much else. More of the same in the flavor department. Really light, but no bad flavors. A light body has plentifull carbomnation. No the best offering from Mountain Sun.

This beer was the odd man out at Mountain Sun. All the rest of the beers were good except this one. It has a nice amber color but is cloudy. There is a light malty aroma but not much in it. The body is equally light with some malty flavors. There is only enough bitterness to approach a balanced beer. Overall, not my favorite beer.

Hazy copper body, a bit of a head, kind filmy. Smells....holy cow! I smell reefer. Pot, that is. In Boulder? C'mon. No way. Reefer it is.
Taste is much the same. I swear this is mary jane liquid (not that I ever use the stuff...). Hops are gone. Nothing else..maybe a bit of wet malt. Its reefer the whole way. Ordinarily not a bad thing, and here it just gets boring. Drinks ok, nothing special, just odd.

I feel like i'm probably not one of the only people who hasn't had any other steam beers than Anchor's. That's why this beer was puzzling to my uninformed palate - it ain't like Anchor.

No hops in here at all, just a strangely sulfuric nutty tastes. I catch a few of the almost milk-sweet Anchor malt character. The nutty tastes and sketchy nose elements do hurt the beer overall, because the mouthfeel and underlying tastes are okay. Just not a pleasant brew for my tastebuds.

Appearance: Pours an inviting reddish color with hints of garnet and orange. Slighty hazy in the body, with a small and well-retaining tan head.

Smell: The aroma is a bit unusual, with a sweet malt base underneath a blanket of smoke. No hop aroma to be found. Where's the Northern Brewer?

Taste: The taste is just as odd as the smell. There's some smoke and medicinal phenolics, along with a bit of malty sweetness. Zero hop flavor, with just enough bitterness to keep it from approaching cloying.

Mouthfeel: On the heavier side of medium in body, with a rich mouthfeel.

Drinkability: Just like their Alt, this beer isn't anywhere close to being what style it's called. It is, however, a tasty beer and I could easily drink it again. Because of this, I've scored it on it's merits, instead of it's lack of adherence to style.
