On tap at Vine Street for Stout Month 2012. I had never heard of a Tangerine Stout so I was intrigued. Served in 8oz glass the beer arrives jet black with brown mahogany edges in the light, thin 1/2 finger head with good retention and lacing. The nose is very citrusy with the tangerines with a nice roast character behind, interesting, yet enjoyable. The flavor starts off like a orange creamsicle flavor until the roast and mild bitterness comes through to even it out a bit. Tons of tangerine flavor, a bit much for me but not overly so. Medium bodied and well carbonated. Overall, this was a truly unique beer. I enjoyed it though would appreciate if the tangerine was toned down a bit to even everything out.

On tap at Vine Street Pub for stout month. This was listed as s variation of the Korova stout with tangerine zest added. Dark black like you would expect. The smell is tangerine and far toasted malt, stout month! The taste was heavy tangerines, seek malts, well done. This and the girl scout stout were interesting surprises today.

This is their Korova Cream Stout with tangerines added. And for the most part, that's what you get.
A solid dark brown, ruby pour with a creamy white head. Lacing was sticky yet smooth.
A good balance between roasted malt, dark chocolate, some anise and tangerines in the nose. Nothing very strong, but not weak either.
smooth feel from beginning to end. The tastes is kinda like a weak Tootsie Roll with tangerines on the side. The tangerine juice and flavor come in on the tongue from the sides, giving the feeling that you just bit into one. Not overwhelming, just a nice subtle hint of fruit.
Other than that, not much else here. Solid cream stout.
It's a good break from the norm
