On tap at the Vine Street Pub. Poured into a pint glass.
Apperance - Very dark with light brown head, excellent. Minimal lacing.
Smell - Roasted barley, coffee, some hints of chocolate.
Taste - Robust coffee flavor, some dark chocolate, perhaps traces of toffee.
Feel - Full bodied, some carbonation, maybe a slight hop bitterness present.
Overall - A very good beer, but nothing stands out. I'd have again.

On tap at Vine Street Pub for Stout Month. The beer was served in an 8oz milkshake pilsner glass.
Some literature on the beer:
"Dropkick Stout: We just introduced Dropkick Stout to Mountain Sun drinkers in late 2009. A true American style stout. Dropkick hits you head on with a strong dose of roasted barley, followed immediately by citrusy and resiny American hops. Unlike out Trixter, dropkick is not a hop bomb, but it does feature a healthy dose of hop bitterness and flavor. At 6.5% ABV, Dropkick is a sturdy but drinkable stout.
Malt: Domestic 2-Row Pale, Aromatic, Special B, Chocolate Malt, Crystal 120L, Roasted Barley
Hops: Columbus, Amarillo
OG: 1.068
6.5% ABV"
A - The beer arrived pitch but with a faint dark brown head. Decent lacing, can't really comment on retention as it arrived without much head. Looked good though.
S - A fair blend of roast, coffee, toffee, and mild hop bitterness.
T - The beer starts and finishes with the malt character: roasted malt, chocolate, coffee. The middle of the beer brings out a slight citrus character and mild hop bitterness. The beer finishes dry and crisp.
M - Good carbonation and medium bodied.
D - Pretty good.
Note: This review was a re-post from my former account, jmkratt, which was hacked and I lost all my reviews...sorry for the redundancy.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
A decent all-around stout. Nothing you haven't seen before, but still just fine. Poured a dark brown-black, with a minimal tan head. Dark roasty malts in the aroma and not much else. More of the same in the taste: dark malts, roasty, some coffee bitterness, and a touch of earthy hops. Heavy-medium mouthfeel, and quite drinkable overall.

Had this one on tap the other night at the Vine Street Pub in Denver, as part of the stout month celebration. Pours an inky black color with a decent light brown head. Big sticky hop aromas, along with chocolate and roasted malt. Medium bodied, hoppy and good.

On tap at the brewpub in Boulder. Some roast in aroma, dark with no head but lace. Astringent coffee. Some nice hoppiness.Semi-sweet chocolate. Good choice for stout month.Citrus, somewhat complex. Very good brew despite astringency in finish.Balance despite flaws.

On tap at Vine St. Pub. Dark black and has a slightly roasted smell, not bad but not special. The taste was a little chewy, roasty, not any coffee or chocolate or anything like that but still a good stout. I might have to sample this again because my pint was gone pretty quickly.
