I had this on nitro at Vine Street Pub. Served in a shaker pint, the beer is a brilliant amber with a small, but dense cream cap. The head falls to a thin film while leaving a dense trail of lace.
The overall experience reminded me heavily of Belhaven Scottish Ale, which is a good thing in my mind. Toffee and a light black tea bitterness dominate the experience. A light peated smokiness adds interest. The nitro gives the beer a very silky mouthfeel. The body is quite light, which makes the beer easy to down.
Overall, I was quite happy with this. Hopefully this beer will make a return appearance at Vine Street soon.
