Proper Pale arrives a cloudy pale amber in a shaker pint glass. A small eggshell cap quickly falls to a thin film, while leaving bits of lace.
Toasted bread, black tea and citrus are at work in equal measure. There's not a whole lot going on here, but the flavors are interesting nonetheless. Things get a little weird late when an odd astringency sets in. The light body is overly fizzy for this style.
Overall, this beer didn't do much for me. There are better EPAs out there.
