Slightly hazy dark brown color in the tulip glass. Modest head. Powerful barrel flavor. slightly sweet with just a hint of sourness developing. Fairly sharp, winey flavors with a big dose of malt. I don't notice too much of the Belgian flavors as the Petite Syrah wine aging is pretty dominant. Bit and rich, some cherry flavors, some wood, and finally the restrained hoppy bitterness.
On tap at the Vine Street Pub in Denver. Interesting and worth a try.
