Suffolk Punch Imperial IPA, according to the beer card at lunch. Only served in 8oz servings. The beer arrived in a mini wine glass, 8oz, and is a golden orange hue with golden edges with a nice 1 finger white head, good retention, and lacing. Looks good. The nose is a nice blend of citrus and pine hops. Nothing too drastic, but gentle and nice. The flavor stats with a citrus hop flavor on the tongue while the mild pale malt base builds. Medium bitter and malty sweet, though not overly sweet or bitter. Earthy hop character becomes more prevalent as the beer warms. No hint of alcohol heat at all. Overall, a very good beer. I would happily order more.

This is a solid English Pale, with just enough hops to make it more bitter than a 'bitter'. Orange/gold pour with a nice head and lacing. Aroma is earthy on the end but more of citrus up front. Yet both are quite faint.

The taste comes across as an American PA at first, but the end is very much English. Light sweet biscuit has a say in the middle. Up front is some citrus and grapefruit rind. Hints of grass indicate a change to more earthiness. And so it is. Some herbal bite and it's on to the diacytel. Not much, but enough to declare this one very English.

Quite a nice beer
