Pours dark coffee black with lacing khaki cap on draught in tulip glass at BarrelHouse Brewing Co in Tin City Paso Robles. This imperial stout pack a a lunch at 9% ABV with notes of strong coffee, chocolate, vanilla and malty stout love. Really good local micro brew Imperial Stout.

A: Pours basically black with a frothy khaki head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little light lacing.
S: Strong hit of fresh ground coffee, char, peppery, earthy, herbal, vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, burnt sugar, and toffee sweetness.
T: Roasty, fresh ground coffee, vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, a touch of char, faint smoke, earthy herbal notes, a little pine, brown sugar and toffee sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, cream smooth.
O: Went into this one thinking it was gonna be one of the lease exotic iterations, but let me tell ya, that doesn't make it any less good. Really nice imperial coffee stout.
