We set out to create a bold, complex beer that tastes like raspberries and chocolate. This rich ale is the result. We artfully blended six different malts to achieve deep cocoa flavor. Over a pound of raspberries per gallon were added to the young beer to provide fresh, bright fruit character. Complex malt and fruit yet simply delicious.

12 oz. bottle.
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch tan head over a slight reddish tan body with some lacing. nose of raspberry foremost with some chocolate coming forward as it warms a bit. Taste mirrors nose somewhat with the chocolate becoming more pronounced. Slight raspberry tartness on the finish. Nice feel and overall, an easy drinking American Imperial Porter at 9% abv. Cheers to Druthers for this one!

Consumed at the brewery as part of a beer sampler. Poured from the tap into a 5 ounce glass. Very dark in body, with slight reddish tones, and a minimal head. This one is actually an Imperial Raspberry Porter, with an abv of 9%. Six different malts were used in the brewing process, and it really gives the beer a strong chocolate flavor. The raspberry flavor adds to the taste of a 'desert' beer, but the high abv gives you a kick. My second favorite of the 6 beer samples (80 shilling was first).
