Druthers Dark Lager

Had as part of a beer sampler at the brewery. Poured from the tap into a 5 ounce glass. Dark Reddish brown in color, decent head. This is a style I don't see very often, in fact I have only had 3 others in all my years of drinking beer. The standard that comes to mind is Hofbrau Dunkel, being based in Munich, and this being a Munich Dunkel Lager. The looks are deceiving as you expect a lot of malty richness, but it is not the case. Well balanced as a lager, with enough hops to cut sweetness but not enough to give it much bitterness, Druthers has brewed a fine representative of the style.
