A rich and malty German-style lager brewed for the colder months, using all German malts and hops. This medium bodied lager imparts a luscious, smooth, and toasty flavor with hints of toffee and cocoa. Pouring dark brown with ruby highlights with a light tan head.

Date on the can says 1/3/24; consumed on 2/10/24.
A: Poured from the can into a Tree House tulip. Body is dark brown with a wisp of tannish/khaki-colored head that settles pretty quickly.
S: Nice nose of dark fruit, roasty grains and a hint of chocolate malt.
T: Roasty malt foundation, with chocolate, molasses (just a hint of sweetness), roasted barley malt and a hint of dark dried fruits (think prunes and dark cherries). Sweetness mid-palate but it doesn't linger on the aftertaste at all, finishes pretty clean.
M: On the lighter side - appropriate and expected for the style. Modest carbonation.
O: Solid. Not earth-shattering, but tasty and clean.
My 2000th beer review - full reviews, not ratings. It took me over 18 years to get there.
