I'd compare Alchemy Ale on nitro to Left Hand's Sawtooth Nitro, because they are very similar. The creaminess of the nitro helps balance out the inherent bitterness of the ESB, and the result is a mellower beer that pairs well with many different dishes on their menu. It's not their best beer, but the nitro addition was a good one.

a great classic english esb from my new favorite spot in town for a beer on a chilly night. this is right from the nitro tap and looks lovely with a creamy off white head and a dense looking but remarkably light feeling pale amber body. a nose of bittering hops, maybe magnum or fuggles, and a really dry caramel malt base. the flavor is incredibly mellow, aided by the smoothness of the feel. its almost under flavored for a second, just going down so easily. the malt flavor is there but all of the usual sugars from this grain bill are fermented out, and the hops really only come on late, leaving a wonderful airy gap in the middle that i find intriguing. its refreshing session beer, but bold and big enough to satisfy on a chilly evening. one of the better esb beers i think ive ever had, certainly the best one going on denver, its just fantastic and authentic and the setting makes it that much better. one of my favorite beers i had from these guys. very very solid example of the style.

Pours dark amber with the large, creamy nitro-head that lasts.
Smells like some bitter hops are on the way.
Taste is pretty bold considering it's English. Creamy, bitter, hoppy, very smooth and great overall. I had a few different brews at this place and this one was my favorite.

Poured a great copper color with cascading head (from the nitro tap), and had some very nice lacing.
The scent was slight, as it was hard to come through the foam, but it did have a nice floralness to it.
Good flavor, a slight hoppiness with a great bitter aftertastes. I think the nitro-tap actually hurts the flavor of this one.
Very smooth, but most of it was from the nitro.

(Served in an American pint glass)
A- This beer separates very fast for a nitro pour, into a opaque reddish-brown body with a big bubbly head. There is no carbonation but some floaties in the body.
S- The slight sweet caramel malt notes have a dry pale malt note with a hint of raw grain smell. The finish is a green pine note.
T- The taste of sweet caramel malt has a hint of pale malt in the background with a hint of very light toasted notes. There is a soft hop flavor that has a nice green flavor and a light bitterness that hangs on after each sip.
M- This beer has a full mouthfeel that is filled out by a creamy head.
D- The slight sweetness in the malt is nice with the bitter hops but it would be nice to taste a bit more malt flavor.

The best looking beer i"ve had. Pours creamy and milky color with darker hues behind it. Turns from a waterfall, cascade of cream into a dark smooth ale.
Smell of hops at first, turns to malt and biscuit as it transforms. Served coldest of the beers I had there, which is nice. Crisp and smooth. A bit creamy for an ESB, but drank the first down before I knew it.
