Smaller head that fades to the rim. Only a few spots remain on the glass. Hazy, lighter gold color.
Very mild pale malted barley smell. Barely perceptible.
The flavor is stronger with a Helles start. Very round feel (richer but still with ample carbonation). The finish is more of the same. This might be a little lighter malt (ie. without any caramelized notes) than expected but that’s picking nits. Short aftertaste.
I didn’t notice this initially but there is a light, soft hop spice in the swallow that provides good balance.
