The nitro pour produces a dense, creamy beige head that recedes very slowly. There's surprisingly little lace -- only an occasional, temporary spot or two. The liquid is deep dark brown with no light passing through the edge of the glass.
The smell is dark chocolate, coffee, and ash. Very dry aroma.
The flavor is quite Stout-like with strong bitter coffee and ash. The body is closer to an Irish Stout (read: thin) with a higher level of "carbonation" than I would expect from a nitro pour. The flavor is complex and full but the finish doesn't create anything new. Shorter aftertaste.
