Not generally the biggest Claremont fan from what I’ve reviewed on Beer Advocate (two) and tried on Untappd, but this one sounded really good. Can called it a, “Hazy IPA with Citra and Mosaic.” Two of my Mount Rushmore hops.
Poured a golden-to-light amber semi-hazy color with four fingers of khaki-white head. Plenty of bubble streams creeping up along the sides of the glass. World-class uneven foamy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled big Mosaic and Citra up front. Also floral, mixed berry, Juicy Fruit, passion fruit, rose blossom, mango, stone fruit, red grapefruit rind, pine and herbal. Even better out of the can with Citra leading the way, followed by Mosaic. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste followed the nose, maybe not quite as good. Got Mosaic, floral, rose blossom, mixed berry, passion fruit, Juicy Fruit, mango, stone fruit, red grapefruit, herbal, pine and guava. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-fizzy carbonation. Long, fruity finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Wow. Couldn’t believe how much I liked this beer. Excellent. (Overall - 4.25)
