Another amazing collaboration with our best beer friends Newburgh Brewing Company. This is a delicious blend of their Imperial Stout, The Newburgh Conspiracy, from 2018, 2019, 2020, and our Rum Barrel Aged Ded Moroz aged for 2 1/2 years. This beer is chocolatey decadence.

12 oz can. Pours dark brown with tall, creamy, long lasting, Brown head and nice lacing. Aroma is of toasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate covered cherries and coffee. Body is full and slightly crisp. Taste is of toasted malt, coffee, cherries, brown sugar, caramel and herbal hops. Finish is long and sweet. Nice dessert brew.

12oz can served in a Kane tulip. Received from @MacMalt in NBS BIF #14. Not dated, but based on MacMalt's review, it was probably released 2021-08-21.

Pours tarry black. Tiny head, very little carbonation. Smell is boozy, almost medicinal, lots of anise, something herbal.

Taste is similar but different. Still boozy, but not medicinal and lower on the herbal note. Anise is still there, but maybe more coffee and very dark chocolate covering it up. Something in the flavor reminds me of rum (one of the beers blended into this apparently was aged in rum barrels?), I get something kind of like a cherry sweetness -- something syrupy or molasses about the sweetness, too.

Mouthfeel is thick, smooth. There's a lot going on in this beer. I don't like the medicinal note I get in the aroma, but otherwise it's quite good.

Reviewed the day after release. Poured from 12 oz. can into a tulip glass at 65°. It pours a dark walnut - nearly black - with a frothy, medium-mocha colored head that dissipated quickly leaving a thin coating of lacing. The fragrant nose includes cocoa, nuts, earthy char, freshly-brewed coffee, and just a whiff of rum. Delicious! The fudgy chocolate is complemented by subtle but noticeable rum. Behind the sweetness is a base of earthy, nutty char. I'm also tasting notes of black cherry which are very welcome. The flavors are distinct but they blend seamlessly. This Stout has a luxuriously thick, creamy mouthfeel. It's almost chewy. It's moderately carbonated and it doesn't drink like 11.5% ABV. I'm glad it's packaged in 12 oz. cans; a pint pour might be too much. Since the fabulous collaboration "Greetings from Duckburgh" in 2017 I've hoped that Rushing Duck and Newburgh Brewing would produce another blended Stout. This is masterful work!
