Abbey is an amber-coloured, full-flavoured ale. The edges of the Challenger and Northern Brewer hops are balanced by the smooth malty richness of the barley. Winner of Gold Star at GTA '09.

500ml Bottle conditioned (5.1% ABV): best before 3rd May 2013, poured into my Abbot Ale glass tankard during a ‘Random Tasting Evening’ in Aug 2012.
Deep amber towards brown body, with a slight haze because of the pour being interrupted: on top a good crown of beige bubbles.
Both the nose and taste were a pleasant blend of fruity hops and semi-sweet malty molasses: a nicely balanced brew without really testing your taste buds.
Medium bodied and well carbonated, not bad at all.
