Sancho's donkey wished to turn into beer all the barley he found in his path. In honor of this desire our beer is created.

Cerro Burro de Sancho is born under the idea of producing a product that maintains the essence of the first elaborations made in an artisan way, obtaining an authentic Castilian flavor and aroma, composed of 100% malt of barley and also using raw materials from our Castilian land

Tasting notes : black Microbrew and very light, style porter, with flavor and aromas of chocolate and coffee, with light floral bitterness.

Ideal for mating with special meats such as game, vegetables, stews or stews.

Cerveza de color marrón oscuro, con una buena cabeza espumosa que se va rápidamente. Aroma a café y chocolate. En boca es ligera, dulce pero a la vez con un amargor bien equilibrado. Buena relación precio/calidad.

Tried this one in El Salvador. Bottle now has a light blue label and not the dark one pictured here.

Nice porter-esque appearance, foamy/rock head, light notes of cacao and chocolate. overly carbonated, but taste is pleasant.
Finishes a bit rough, mostly due to carbonation. but overall a decent beer.

From Hipercor. In Teku glass. Playing Goodbye Deponia. The worst Burro Sancho. Easy to drink but watery and flat in taste and aroma. Just a mild Guinness-like taste and smell

33 cl bottle bought at Carrefour, Gandía, Spain. Bumped into this and noticed it was by a fairly new brewery, with other reviews dating back about as far as March/April 2012. The bottle promises "typically Spanish flavors such as coffee and dark chocolate". I didn't know those were intrinsically Spanish, but hey, we'll take it!

A: Thin ruby red, doesn't scream stout at all. Even Guinness, the dubious king of all thin and watery stouts, is pitch black compared to this.

S: Enticing coffee and dark chocolate notes. Some sweet pale malts and a little hop just on the front end.

T: Pretty much like it smells, only with a slight mineral salty quality. I wonder if this is due to force carbonation, as the bubbles don't seem all that natural. Fairly sweet and very sticky (mostly residual sugars?).

M: Thin and watery, not great due to the stingy carbonation.

O: Average. A good stout that packs a lot more flavor than the other ones that seem to dominated the Spanish market (i.e. Guinness), but the stingy carbonation, weak look and thin mouthfeel keeps it well out of the big leagues.
