(16 oz can, 5.4% abv, best by 3/2?/22; gifted single can... poured into a 14 oz mug)
L: brilliantly-clear, yellow-gold liquid; fizzy foam on pour, collapsing to thin cap in short time... less than halfway through and no more head and no lacing
S: basic adjunct lager?... that kettle corn, floral-fruit-peel hop essence... slight toasted grain accent... very mellow intensity overall
T: dry, diluted pale malt base; mild but notable enhanced toasty, doughy colors to the malty foundation; light-moderate residual, mildly-herbal hop bitterness... kind of reminds me of a blend of Brooklyn lager ('pre-prohibition' style) and a malt liquor... the rye is not so much dominant/present, rather it seems to accentuate and lend depth to the malt character
F: light-medium bodied, with a delicate yet undeniably silky, mellow viscosity... the aft is relatively dry, yet the liquid leaves a thin film on the palate and even a subtle warmth
O: wasn't sure from the first couple sips, but this soon revealed itself to be a fairly well-made, well-balanced American lager with a delectable dimension to its graininess... I would enjoy having this again soon (1751)

Golden-colored with basically no head to speak of. Little to no carbonation, it took a vigorous swirl of the glass to revive the head. Slight spice in the aroma but not much going on. Despite all this, the flavor wasn't terrible. Lack of carbonation ruins the mouthfeel though.
As soon as I got home after purchasing this beer, I noticed that the bottles were filled up way too high. Almost no room for air in the neck of the bottles. Not sure how much of an effect that had on the carbonation, but definitely not acceptable. Especially at the price point they are charging for six packs.
I don't mean to slam a local beer (or any beer for that matter) but the carbonation issue needs to be fixed. Will re-review when it gets sorted out.

A: The beer is slightly hazy dark yellow in color and has a faint amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a light dusting of bubbles covering the surface and a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of biscuit malts and spicy rye are present in the nose.
T: The taste mostly follows the smell except that the flavors are a little more prominent. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate and has a low amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and can be considered sessionable given its low alcohol content. Being a lager, it stands out a little compared to other rye beers.
