From a growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate---this nice cream ale with added strawberries
pours a lightly hazy bruised peach color with a nice head of white foam that subsides
to a thin ring, light subtle swirling layer, and subtle light lacing. Nose of subtle strawberry
with light grain notes and a touch of honey. Flavors hit the right notes for this unique hybrid
featuring lightly tart strawberry notes awash in honey and moderate grain notes with a creamy
background with a touch of tea flavor with light herbal hop notes. Nice mouth feel; medium body,
medium carbonation that is lightly prickly, and finishing lightly creamy and brisk with a fruit touched
subtle herbal note.
Overall this is a decent little cream ale that makes for a good summer session brew.
What it does not do is remind me of ice cream----it reminds me of cream ale. All in
all it is solid.
Cheers
