A highly drinkable Florida ale steeped with hibiscus flowers for just the right amount of natural sweetness and a hint of cinnamon. Brewed with pale wheat and honey malt, Tropic Pressure pours the color of skin that has been kissed by the warm Florida sunshine.

A very solid and sessionable ale. It looks great with it’s dark copper color and white frothy head. The smell is sweet passion fruit without being overly sweet. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and the taste is forward on the passion fruit. A really good sessionable to closeout this summer season.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is gold, transparent, head is off white and presents 1 finger thick and then dissipates quickly to nothing with thin ring and circle of remaining froth.
Smell is light malt, sour fruity hibiscus, fairly prominent.
Taste is similar - light malt, light toast, fruity hibiscus, light sour and herbal/floral character from the hibiscus. Low strength but quite flavorful.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, lingering crisp dryness.
Overall a light, herbal, floral, slightly sour hibiscus ale.

This is allegedly a Florida Ale and it is brewed with hibiscus and cinnamon. It is actually pretty good and makes you think you are by a swimming pool or by the ocean.
Look: Amber or dark golden with a thick white head
Aroma: Tropical fruit, hibiscus, cinnamon
Flavor: The flavor is like an ice tea with tropical flavors, hibiscus, cinnamon, pineapple, mango.
Body/Overall: Light to medium body, juicy

On tap at Peace River Brewing In Punta Gorda. Paired well with thai curry. Fruitier than I expect a golden ale to be. Pineapple and tropical. A good beer for a day at the beach.

Fruity, floral and fairly effortless on the palate, Big Storm is quenching the thirst of West Central Florida with a hibiscus infused Blond Ale for a little extra zip, showing that refreshment doesn't have to be boring.
Pale Gold and cast in a mild haze, the heady beer draws in the senses with a fruity, floral fragrance that hosts a pep of spice, honeysuckle, dry cereal and raw grain. Grain sweetness also graces the early palate with those cereal, raw barley and light honey character.
As the ale splashes against the middle palate Tropical Pressure teases with hints of orange, pineapple, guava and lemon. Trending peppery and pleasantly grassy, the hops assist the hibiscus in a flowery but leafy bite remiss of lemongrass and lemon pepper.
Medium light in body, the Blond Ale finishes with a slight astringent, over worked huskiness that detracts from the beer's finish. That slight tannic bite outlasts the smooth but spicy bitterness from hops for a refreshing, but off-clean aftertaste.

Love the natural hibiscus flavours of this Florida Ale. Super refreshing and at 4.4 abv a great sunny day brew. More in line with a ‘sour’ style beer.
