The “California Common” originated in 18th century California, where brewers without access to refrigeration produced beers using lager yeasts and warm temperatures. Brewed with pilsner and Vienna malts, the flavor of our Surfline is anything but “common.” It features the light and rounded characteristics inherent in traditional lagers with a rad dose of caramel maltiness.

A little darker than I like, but smooth, hints of fruitiness, which I always like, malty, too. Pretty good even if not one of my favorites.

Pours a dark but clear amber/copper color with a moderate head leaving a faint lacing.
Smell is bready with a hint of floral hops.
Taste is malty, earthy up front with a slightly bitter hop finish.
