Another stop on the Lansing Area Barrel-Aged Beer Trail. Beer pours a dark brown with a minimum head. Good maple aroma. Taste is sweet. Not overly boozy. Good mouth feel. Enjoyed this one.

Big maple nose, palate and finish dominates this, and really outdoes any bourbon heat. Very good use of maple, works well with the malt bill, though a bit overpowering at times. For anyone looking for a maple beer that is not dried out or brutally artificial tasting this is for you. Works quite well, but you've gotta love maple sugar.
