Found this 10 month old bottle in the back of my fridge. Basically the hops are gone and all I get is the charred malts. This beer was probably a lot better than I found it. I'd rather not review it but BA makes me. Wish I tried it fresh

Nice black IPA from the Triple C folks! Poured jet-black with a thick tan head, nice aroma of roasted cocoa beans and a slight hint of wonderful hoppiness. Taste was as expected for this style, a nice hoppy stoutish brew...aftertaste revealed some coffee bean & chocolate influences, nicely done. Another well-crafted brew by the Charlotte based group! I will enjoy again.

This beer unfortunately falls well short of the mark
The beer Pours a nearly opaque the non existent head and no lace. The scent is a weird smoke with bitter hop. The taste is unbalanced and finishes acidic. The body is medium with decent carbonation. Overall I would not go looking for this one.
