Color is slightly darker than the average triple. Smell is sweet bourbon with a hint of toffee. Taste is a very pleasing array of bourbon notes. Carbonation is moderate and compliments the style. 30IBU is not an issue as hops in no way are prevalent. This was an impressive contribution into the barrel aged bourbon market and something not to be missed for connoisseurs of this style.

Bottled 12/15. Amber color. Smell is sweetness and bourbon. Flavor is exactly the same. This has aged really well. Still has a sting to the tongue. This is better than the rum version

Poured 22 oz bottle into a teku glass. Looks semi cloudy dark golden / light copper color with rapidly fading head. Smell is caramel, booze, oak, burnt sugar, dark fruit, raisin. Taste is dominated by sweet raisin and caramel taste, bourbon is feint but comes midway through before an alcohol bite. Feel is slightly syrupy, light on the carbonation, perhaps a bit too light.
A fairly nice take on an interesting style. Bit heavier on the mouth than other barrel tripels than I've had, but fun to try.
