From a bottle

Appearance - Light amber, very honey colored. Good head on pour but disappeared fast

Smell - Yeast and floral notes

Taste - Rather yeasty Belgium taste, but also very fruity

Mouth feel - Light as expected, but way too flat for my taste.

Overall - For a 9% this beer's fruity qualities hide the alcohol well. Would buy again (Hopefully from tap) would rate better if the carbonation was done proper

Had on tap at Hingham location

Appearance: minimal head, low carbonation, orange-gold in color, hazy

Smell: hay, funk, and light apricot

Taste: This one follows the nose but with the apricot being more pronounced

Mouthfeel: sweet and funky, light in body, low carbonation

Overall:This one seems to follow the flavor profile of the regular apricot saison, just with amped up alcohol. I remember preferring the regular version better, but this is a solid beer none-the -less. I would get this again.

a. A golden color slightly on the orange side. There is a 2 finger head on the pour that slims down to 1/2 finger but lasts. Slight lacing.

s. Cloves and coriander on the nose. lacking the apricot (especially for a 'Double Apricot')

t. Coriander, cloves, wheat. Spices clearly rule here. Where are the apricots???
Given, this is not cricket, but I do taste the apricots when I burp, so there are there under the spices.

m. Very Good - alcohol hidden well for a 9.0.

o. Barly a 3.75 on taste, so 3.5 overall. Good beer - but - spice overload brings the overall to a 3.5, BUT best beer works beer I have had, and if the Overtime series is going to create beers like this, I am working at 12 hour day!

12oz bottle poured into a tulip.

A: Pours a nice golden color with a very slight haze. A one inch head retains well. Patches of lacing cling here and there.

S: Juicy apricot aromas share center stage with chalky and dusty Belgian yeast. Estery scents of mashed ripe bananas. Slight grassy hops, touch of lemon grass. Biscuity malt underneath.

T: Yeasty up front. Doughy and dusty. Hints of banana and pepper. Apricot comes in a big wave after. Medium sweet. Oily and grassy hops, along with a slight alcohol spice, do a good job of offsetting the apricot sweetness. Hints of estery tropical fruit come out intermittently. Biscuity and lightly toasty malt base. Apricot, doughy yeast, and a slight hint of trailing alcohol on the finish.

M: Light bodied. Creamy and slightly silky. Low prickling carbonation. Barely a hint of alcohol warmth.

O: Certainly nothing earth-shattering here. It isn't the most complex saison on the block, but it hides its strength well and drinks very easily. The apricot is integrated well, as it complements nicely without becoming a distraction.

Served in a snifter at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pale orange color with a little haziness and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing as the beer was drank.

Smell: Sweet apricot, spice, banana, vanilla, pilsner malts, apple, and some powdery yeast notes.

Taste: Same as above with a little booze and tingly bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Spicy, a little dry, some booze, chewy, refreshing, light to medium bodied, and medium to high carbonation.

Overall: Nice addition of apricots to a saison. The flavor of the fruit compliments the beer really well. Time to grab another.
