A beer brewed with lime oil, conditioned on
limes and served with a lime. A Corona-esque sorta thing, but punched in the face with limes.

The bartender told me it tasted like corona so I passed the first round. The 2nd round I decided what the hell.

12th anniversary beer served with a lime.

This beer poured a clear yellow body with a small white head.

The nose was dominated by an artificial but very fruity limejuice smell mixed with a little malt.

The taste very light and simple. There’s a very present bitterness that slightly dominates over the soft slightly grainy malt. Really what dominates the taste though is the lime flavor. It’s actually very smooth and not very acidic. Much different than shoving a lime into a corona long neck. It’s actually more of lemon/lime soda sort of lime flavor. Very crisp and actually rather tasty.

Corona for beer nerds. It’s very simple and yet surprisingly tasty. The lime flavor is never distracting or nasty tasting. I’m actually pretty impressed by this beer. Another crossover beer made for the general public but complex enough for the BA nerd.

Sampled on tap at the Beer Works Boston, Canal St.

This is an ale flavored with kaffir lime leaves. I am not sure whether it contains any lime or lime juice. I thought it would be a lager, but the bartender told me it was an ale.

This ale poured a clear, golden color with creamy white foam that settled and clung to the glass a little. The smell was a strong lime aroma akin to lime juice plus peel. A bit of weak bready malt aroma was hidden behind the lime. The taste was a tart lime flavor up front followed by some bready malt and a low hop bitterness. The mouthfeel was smooth and tart citrusy with medium light body and good carbonation. This was a very refreshing lighter lager with built in lime flavor (obviously mimicking Mexican lager plus lime wedge). I found it very easy to drink and enjoyed several.
