Presentation: On tap. Nitro-poured.
Appearance: Bright, clear ruby red with a firm, thick, creamy off-white nitro-injected head (about 1").
Smell: Big sweet malts, candy-like fruit esters, grain notes and floral aromas.
Taste: Silky smooth mouthfeel with a medium, full body. Sweet candied fruit-like malt character, notes of honey, light toasted malts, caramel and even a touch of dry chocolate. Faint buttery feel. Hops are perfectly balanced with a mild raw hop bitterness of rind, and way back on the palate there's some spice. Finishes with a lsight grain/bread dryness.
Notes: Wow! Pushing this killer ESB through a nitro system makes it even more deadly! It's so easy to drink. So warming. I so much liked it. A perfect pint for lunch.
