Appearance - Pours crystal clear and golden yellow in color with a white, near finger width head. Fair retention before peeling back to a thin, broken layer of suds and a consistent ring around the edge of the glass.
Smell - The aroma hits on notes of hay, cracker and graininess with a hint of grass and lemon.
Taste - Follows the nose. Hay and cracker dominates the flavor profile while a touch of honey and lemon ride beneath. The finish comes quickly and lingers with a bit of clean grain character.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with a fair amount of carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a crisp, refreshing finish.
Overall - While this is a well crafted brew, I found the flavor profile to be mostly bland, even for a Helles Lager.
