No date on can. Worried that this is a bit old. Need to re-try

Taste like a hazy IPA. Hazy IPA are not my favorite.

Another iteration of the "juicy" and "unfiltered" IPA. A good, drinkable brew with a tropical, citrus, nose and taste. There is something that messes up the finish for me that I can't put my finger on...good, but probably not one I will stock in my arsenal.

Canned date of 09/27/17
Appearance - Pours hazy and dull golden orange with an off-white, finger width head. Fair retention results in a thin, consistent layer of suds with a thick ring around the edge of the glass. Strong amount of lacing, with rings of sheeting giving way to broken webbing and some spotting.
Smell - Citrusy and tropical aroma. malts come across a bit grainy.
Taste - Follows the nose. Hops deliver an awesome blend of citrus and tropical character, hitting on orange, pineapple, passionfruit and a touch of mango and pine spice, but sitting beneath is a mealy, grainy malt flavor that kind of kills it as it enters mid-taste strengthens toward the finish. Aftertaste lingers with that nice hoppy profile, but it can't shake the funky grainy malt note that haunts an otherwise tasty brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium-to-full in body with bitey carbonation. Slick, slightly velvety texture turns a bit dry in the finish as it goes down smoothly. Nigh quaffable.
Overall - Promising "hybrid" IPA, more Classic West Coast but with some NE-Style influence, but it's a shame the malts detract rather than add to the experience. I know Ol' Republic is known moreso for their lagers than their ales, so maybe they need to experiment a bit on the variety of malts they use to deliver a more well-rounded ale.
