Taster at brewery. Clear golden with small, soft head. Musty, herbal, dank aroma. Taste brings some mild sweetness, more of the funky herbal, grassy notes. Smooth, creamy.

Was spending some time in that cool area of Northern California around Grass Valley in the summer of 2018. Enjoyed my time at this place. Had this on tap and in the can.
Pours that dark golden color indicative of golden promise in a dipa. 1/2" white head. Aroma had a light orange presence, for all the late bittering talk, it smelled pretty bitter and with light bite of maltiness.
Taste, breadier, maltier than it looks, and I get the commercial tug job talking about walnuts, I thought it was more akin to some woodiness, but I get it, makes sense. Idaho 7 and Eukanot bring a hearty degree of bitterness contrary to their claims, but its not problematic for drinking. I wouldn't really say this was a lush dipa teeming with flavor and aroma hops, but it did kick a light orange, caramel and wood kind of vibe, while being very good at hiding the almost 9% alcohol. Bummed this brewery didn't make it out of the governor/government shutdown they were really cool people.

From tasting notes 02/07/18
Had on-tap at Capitol Beer and Taproom in Sacramento, CA
A - Served up in a pint, fair haze and burnt golden orange with a fair, off-white layer of suds sitting atop.Strong lacing with broken sheeting, lines and spotting.
Smell - Malty, wheat-like aroma with lesser citrus, spice and peach.
Taste - Follows the nose. Equal amounts of wheaty and sweet cereal malts with some citrusy, spicy and lightly peachy hops. Lingering fruitness.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with lightly bitey carbonation. Slick texture with a firm, lightly dry finish.
Overall - A fairly tasty beer, though the malts come through much stronger than most hazy IPAs. Maybe I'd give it another try if I run across a single can some day.

The beer pours out a murky golden orange color, with lots of sediment and 1 finger of white head------------- the aromas are of orange, mango and apricot(light aroma)------------- the flavors are of over ripe fruit like mango, apricot, orange and sweet Mellon, there is a honey like sweetness and a mild astringincy, the beer has a super creamy full mouthfeel with no bitterness at all------------------- overall this beer was nice the mouthfeel was the bright spot so creamy and chewy they nailed that part right on the head, the aroma was on the lighter side and wile the flavors had a lot going on it was still hard to pick them up, I had to search for them if that makes any sence

4 pack of 16 oz. cans brewed on Feb. 13th and purchased March 4th at Healthy Spirits in San Francisco, was not familiar with the brewery but took a flier and really enjoyed the beer. Very hazy golden/light brown, nice head and lacing, good aroma, sweet aftertaste left me wondering how much was from the hazy/juicy style and Bavarian Mandarina hops (along with Idaho 7) versus how much from residual sugars (final gravity). Either way a tasty hazy DIPA without much bitterness, or prickly mouthfeel you sometimes get in hop saturated IPAs, esp. some hazy ones, more just juicy flavor and aroma.
