A light bodied, yet flavorful Dark English Mild. Subtle flavors of toffee and roast are accentuated by light carbonation. Brewed to be enjoyed in bunches.

Appearance: Arrives ice tea brown at the bar with a nice head that leaves some spotty lacing
Smell: Toffee and earthy tones.
Taste: Toffee forward with a stone fruit element building; earthy hops add a slight degree of bitterness through the middle but the finish is dominated by the malt profile
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: The beer world needs more sessionable milds - not everything needs to be over the top; this one hits the spot

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear extremely dark brown (bordering on black) in color with light to moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark garnet red + cola brown highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy dark tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light aromas of roasty malts with a very light hint of toffee sweetness and earthy hops.
T: Upfront there are light flavors of roasted malts with a light amount of toffee sweetness. Light hint of light fruit yeast and a hint of earthy hops. Light amounts of roasty bitterness in the finish which does not linger for too long.
M: Light to medium bodied with just shy of moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: Super easy to drink and definitely sessionable. Nice flavors and aromas. Glad my wife grabbed me a crowler of this one when she was in Charlotte for business today.
