An oatmeal stout brewed with coffee, maple, and cinnamon. Rich and full flavored with prominent notes of chocolate and dark coffee. Breakfast for dinner anyone?

its solid but having just had impermanence it makes this seem like a shitty beer. pretty roasty and mild on nose and palate. definitely some cinnamon flavor which is nice paired with a smooth roasty bittersweet chocolate profile. not any detectable maple for me. some roasty character comes through but not really a distinct coffee note.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear jet black in color with light to moderate amounts of gentle carbonation rising slowly along the edges of glass and faint dark cola brown highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy dark mocha head that quickly reduces to a couple of small patches of thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of freshly roasted coffee, roasted malts, maple, and cinnamon.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of roasted malts which is quickly followed by a moderate to strong flavor of freshly brewed dark roast coffee. There is a moderate flavor of maple which contributes a light amount of sweetness with a moderate to strong flavor of cinnamon. Light amounts of roasty bitterness in the finish.
M: Medium to full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin.
O: Though the beer lacked the customary smooth oatmeal body and was slightly thin in mouthfeel, the tastes and aromas more than made up for it. Definitely a great breakfast/brunch stout, enjoyable and easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Very enjoyable - the combination of the coffee, cinnamon, and maple work really well together in this stout.
