CANNED ON 110718

Pours a cloudy, milky pale orange color with a small creamy head. Lime, mango, and OJ smoothie fruity hop aroma. Pulpy orange and lime citrus sweetness. Creamy smooth medium-plus body. Tasty in small quantities, but a bit overly sweet.

Appearance: Arrives a cloudy goldenstraw with a minuscule head; a few spots of lace

Smell: Orange, mango and passionfruit aromas

Taste: Juicy flavors forward with a sugary layer underneath; orange and mango dominate the front end with modest passionfruit bitterness through the middle; juicy, tropical flavors linger

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

Overall: Nice and juicy with a lean to the orange/mango side

One of the easiest drinking hazy ipas you will ever taste. Deep, hazy orange color. Strong fruit smell, tases like lime-orange with very little bitterness. One of my favorite Heist brews, I grab it every time it’s canned

From a crowler filled a few days ago at one of the Duckworth's locations in Charlotte, NC

Pours fulled hazed/clouded, light squash in color, supporting a frothy off white head, leaves a solid collar and bars of thicker lacing.

Soft nose filled with ripe pineapple.

More pineapple and then grapefruit on the palate, limes and then a dry tea infused hopped up and lingering finish. Bright and clean...quality brew from Heist....

L - pours a Trillium-esque pale yellow. Impenetrable brick of haze. Minimal head that settles quickly. Looks more like pineapple juice than OJ!

S - super bright pineapple loaded with bready grains. Motueka has a distinct aroma. Apricots and sourdough.

T - oh that's nice. Was expecting the tongue to follow the nose with that plasticy sorta aroma, but instead we have a delightfully sweet orange candy with pulp! Papayas and apricots. Very tropical and exotic. Buttermilk biscuits and hop oils. Flavor is all up front in the first half, falling flat on its ass in the ass half. Dangerous because it keeps you sipping!

F - a little thin for the flavor profile. Smething more viscous and creamy woulda been great for this beer. Extremely low carbonation to the point where this just dissolves in your mouth. Really does beg another sip.

O - motueka is such a unique hop and this beer really catches its essence. Nails the OJ in MO-J without compromising the acidity and tang that makes OJ OJ.

A: Pours a murky cloudy pale to medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and slightly heavier than moderate lemon yellow + deep golden yellow + apricot colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy creamy white head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Just shy of strong aromas of juicy citrus/orange, citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, and tropical/passionfruit hops over the top of light aromas of sweet grainy malts with light amounts of sugary sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of grainy + biscuit malts with a slightly stronger than moderate amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by strong flavors of juicy citrus/orange, citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, and tropical/passionfruit hops which impart minimal hints of bitterness which fades away almost instantly leaving juicy tropical + citrus hop flavors lingering.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp initially with a smooth, soft mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and really enjoyable hop flavors + aromas. Delicious and one that I would gladly have again.

A white bubbly dome rests over an opaque corn milk yellow body.

Smell is orange juice and yellow pepper that's almost a Hefe with a sort of phenolic spice, but not quite.

Taste is bright with fresh orange juice and a little spice with just a hint of peach.

Smooth and soft, this has a thick fizz through the medium-full body, finishing semi-wet.
