Poured into a snifter. A hazy but not turbid golden color. A thick white head with excellent resiliency. Tropical nose, not much coconut or other elements. The coconut and pineapple were front and center on the palate and well-balanced. A smooth fruity hop bitterness to round things out. Clean and dry finish.

A: Pours an extremely murky medium golden apricot in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate orange + bright yellow + pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering a little more than 75% of the surface surrounded by a patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of tropical/pineapple and tropical/coconut over the top of light aromas of grainy + biscuit + oat malts with a light amount of honey-like sweetness. Moderate aromas of tropical/mango, citrus/orange, and tropical/papaya hops.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of grainy + biscuit + oat malts with a light amount of honey-like sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of tropical/pineapple and tropical/coconut. Finally there are moderate flavors of tropical/mango, citrus/orange, and tropical/papaya hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away very quickly leaving lingering tropical flavors..

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a light amount of fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable and a perfect beer after hiking on a warm muggy afternoon.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy goldenstraw with a modest head; streaky lacing

Smell: Vague tones of coconut and pineapple waft above grainy tones

Taste: Modest pineapple tones lead off, with the coconut rounding out; a hint of less sweet tropical flavors emerge, through the middle; the finish is much like the start

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Rather boring and insipid, I am afraid; might be OK to cool off with on a hot day
