The return of our Raspberry Pick'n, but BIGGER! We bumped up the ABV on this one to change things up a bit. This bold and tart Berliner Weisse was created with loads of fruit!

Seems to pretty much nail what I look for in a fruited ale. Maybe not a true Berliner Weisse, but very drinkable.

Fruity, tart, just enough sweetness, great smooth mouthfeel and just enough booze to keep you from drinking too many.
Actually enjoyed in Whispering Pines NC

A: Pours a murky medium purplish-red (not dissimilar to raspberries) in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass, moderate amounts of larger reddish purple particulates in suspension, and faint ruby red + purple + pink highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy pink head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of tart + slightly sweet raspberries over the top of light aromas of slightly sour wheat malts + lemon citrus lacto tartness.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of slightly sour wheat malts along with light to moderate amounts of lemon citrus lacto tartness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of tart + slightly sweet raspberries. Overall there is a light to moderate amount of lingering tartness and a rich raspberry flavor.

M: Slightly lighter than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of acidic tartness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and just enough tartness. Enjoyable with a really pleasant fresh raspberry flavor and aroma. Could easily have a couple of these - very refreshing after a very long run on a very hot day.
