Our pals from Southern Grist in Nashville came down to help brew a milkshake IPA with pineapple, marshmallows, graham cracker, and lactose. We used Azacca hops to accentuate the pineapple even more. Pineapple dream dessert in beer form.

Hazed gold with two fingers of antique white head. Soapy lacing.
Underripe pineapple, graham cracker, toast and a grassy, weedy note in the nose.
Sweet tasting with golden raisins and golden delicious apple most prevalent. Clear alcohol. Marshmallow definitely shows if you let it sit in your mouth before swallowing. Some slight toasted malt and bitterness in the finish.
Really fluffy, lightly sticky feel with nice carbonation.
Doesn’t look like an NEIPA let alone a milkshake. The flavors are sort of interesting, but not something I’d seek out again.

Appearance - Pours clear golden color with a big fluffy white head lots of spotty lacing. No haze or even murk so I am not buying the milkshake IPA. Settles to nothing.
Aroma - I get the overly ripe pineapple, little lactose, hint of hops pretty sweet nose.
Taste - Tons of pineapple in the taste, I am getting no graham cracker little vanilla/marshmallow but not much else.
Feel - Thin really thin for what is supposed to be a milkshake IPA, medium carbonation slightly dry finish.
Overall - Little dissapointed flavors are good pretty sweet but look and feel are really a let down on this one.

A: Pours a slightly hazy medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint copper + burnt orange + medium golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy off-white head that reduces to a large patch of extremely thin film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of tropical pineapple and marshmallows over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + graham cracker malts with a slightly stronger than moderate amount of lactose sweetness.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of biscuit + graham cracker malts with a slightly stronger than moderate amount of lactose sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of tropical pineapple and marshmallows. No discernible hop presence. Moderate amounts of lingering lactose + marshmallow sweetness in the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a light amount of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Well hidden alcohol but this is definitely a very sweet dessert milkshake IPA. Enjoyable but too sweet for me to want to grab this one again.

So first off not a hazy...While it is smooth it’s super sweet. When I read the flavor profile I was like oh shit.....it’s not all that, mediocre at best. Not one of any of the flavors listed are prevalent. Pineapple is weak, marshmallow yes, but too sweet. Graham cracker????? Come on y’all, I’ve had much better from both breweries
