It was the start of a warm day in June when we began our process of making a beer on the most unusual of brewing days: a Saturday. The wind was blowing from the southeast gently, providing a mild cooling quality to cut the sweltering heat from previous days. Marco from Unseen Creatures Brewing and Blending appeared with the ultimate craving to create a brew unlike any other with the team from Heist Brewery.
The original goal? Brew one beer, using Lemon Drop and Galena hops in the whirlpool, but create three different brews from it after completing this process. Adding a Vermont yeast and all Idaho 7 during a double dry hopping process, this version became a hazy IPA with massive aromas and flavors of pineapple, with a dank earthy finish.

Foggy pale orange with a foamy head. Heavy juicy tropical fruit and citrus hop aromas...not super typical flavors for the style though. Peppery citrus, green tea, ruby red grapefruit, white wine, bubblegum, scallions. Thick tropical hop flavor, staying a bit closer to your typical juicy IPA. Creamy mango, grapefruit, dank peppery herbs, oily resins. Smooth medium-plus feel, a little on the sweet side, but drying in the finish. Interesting...
