Look: It pours very dark brown with a brown creamy head. Head retention is low.
Smell: It has a strong chocolate aroma followed closely by nuts. There are some roasted elements as well.
Taste: There is a balanced flavor from chocolate and nuts. There are some roasted and burnt flavors in the background including a very low vanilla character.
Feel: It has a medium full body with the nuts being more prominent in the finish.
Overall, a complex combination from the chocolate and nuts with the other flavors complimenting them well.

I'm sorry to read that this is a "one off." I guess I'd better run down to my beer store and buy the rest of them. I love dark beers (stouts, porters and dark lagers), and this is one of the best ones I've ever tasted. So I hope they will reconsider and make another batch. What's not to love about hazelnuts and chocolate???
