Strange Words is a mash-up of Strange Clouds and Blurred Is The Word. Brewed and double dry-hopped with Mosaic, El Dorado, and Azacca, it is tropical and dank with notes of candied pineapple.

Grabbed a single at Hair of the Dog / Easton. Poured cold and saw attractive apricot/orange soft haze with short lived white head. Otherwise unremarkable. Nose appeared after aired and warmed a bit. Some dried fruit and dank. Taste brought out a bit more dank and dry; fruit and any sweetness receded to background. Azaca and El Dorado more noticeable than the Mosaic.
Body smooth with some bright carb on the tongue. Stronger abv noticed in effect, but nicely hidden in body/ mouth feel.
Overall a good strong IPA but other than haze and body not much of an NEIPA taste-wise. Tasted more Midwest. Nothing wrong; nothing I would buy again.

Picked up a 16 oz single from the Hot Spot gas station on Brevard Road on 2-15-25 for $4.89. Canned 12-20-24; consumed 4-9-25. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured chilled gold with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is very nice, getting notes of tropical, citrus, and herbal hops.
Taste is spot on, the larger pale malt base take on a ton of hops which give me fresh blueberries, peach, and mango. Finishes with a nice piney prickle to balance the sweetness out; 6/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is medium to heavy bodied and smoother rather than refreshing.
Overall this is another solid IPA from Heist!

6 oz draft pour at Lures Bar & Grille. Appearance is like orange juice. Flavor and aroma offer sweet tropical fruit, juicy citrus, and an undertone of dank garlic. Mouthfeel is slick and not boozy. Overall quite tasty and unique.
