A blend of imperial stouts aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels with no adjuncts. The result is a big stout with plenty of oak and spice character from the barrels, with rich flavors of dark chocolate and vanilla, and subtle hints of dark fruit.

Appearance: From the tap, the onyx liquid looks still in the tulip; no head or lacing but it is leggy
Smell: Dark chocolate, charred oak, Bourbon barrel and vanilla
Taste: Dark chocolate forward with some charred oak adding a depth of flavor that is slightly sweetened by a hint of vanilla; the Bourbon builds, after the swallow, and gets a bit boozy; thick chocolate finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy with low carbonation
Overall: A nice start for Heist's barrel program; rich and decadent; should improve with some aging to lessen the aggressive tendencies
