Received this in a trade from a friend who picked this up at the Night and Day Festival in November. Can date is illegible, presumably in 11-2022; consumed 2-18-23.
Beer poured a chilled gold with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is very nice, with notes of citrus and tropical fruits becoming more pronounced as the beer warms.
Taste is a large pale malt base that allows the strawberry, orange, peach, and mango integrate very nicely. Finishes very balanced with a soft rind bitterness that is barely discernible.
Mouthfeel is large bodied and very smooth but much heavier than normal for the style.
Overall even though Heist calls this a Hazy it sure feels closer to an old school east meets west coast ipa. Tasty any way you dice it up!
