Notes: There's something in a Sunday that makes the body feel...hazy. Inspired by a favorite Sunday morning beverage, we aimed to achieve maximum juiciness in this NE IPA with the addition of peach and mango puree. Combine that with intense amounts of peach and stone fruit forward experimental hops that add aroma and a strong hop bitterness and you'll want one more for dessert.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/15/2018. Pours opaquely hazy/cloudy/murky golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart/tangy peaches, mangoes, melon, apricot, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/earthy hops, peach, mango, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tart/tangy peaches, mangoes, melon, apricot, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of peaches, mangoes, melon, apricot, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, wheat, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/earthy hops, peach, mango, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.3%. Overall this is a very nice NEIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/earthy hops, peach, mango, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink; with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Quite heavy on the yeasty murk than others I've had, but well made. Balanced juicy/dank hops and fruits; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and nice style example.

NE IPA, poured from a 12oz can dated 1/15/18 into a pint glass. Can acquired from Mega Bev in Battle Creek, a place that needs to rotate out a shameful amount of past-due ales. Looks like pineapple juice or pulpy orange juice. Little head, some sticky lacing. Smell is very faint, slight citrus. Taste is juicy. Don't get peach as much as the aforementioned pineapple and orange, a dryness creeps in quickly but isn't terribly bitter save some grapefruit. Slight astringence on the back end, but that's when you take your next sip. Alcohol content well hidden.

Can to snifter. Look nails the milkshake thing, opaque and muddy orange. Smell isn't as prevelant as the world class versions. Taste is bitter citrus, orange rind or orange oil. And plenty of yeast. Finishes a bit like raw flour to me. Feel misses that silky cream, with the bitter kicking a bit more. Overall a fine effort, but this is more yeasty unfiltered traditional IPA than milkshake style fruit bomb. Added that as I made my way through the sixer over time, this one picks up plenty of caking and clumping of whatever alchemy creates haze
