12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy reddish/pinkish orange color with a 1 finger dense pink head with solid retention, that reduces to a minimal ring of lace. Minimal lacing on the glass. Aromas of big tart/tangy currants, fruit skin, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape/wine, berries, hay, straw, grass, oak, wheat, and bread; with lighter notes of pepper, oaken vanilla, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, currants, bready malts, and oak notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy currants, fruit skin, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape/wine, berries, hay, straw, grass, oak, wheat, and bread; with lighter notes of pepper, oaken vanilla, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy currants, fruit skin, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape/wine, berries, hay, straw, grass, oak, wheat, bread, light vanilla/funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, currants, bready malts, and oak flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/acidic/tangy, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour/wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, currants, bready malts, and oak flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Never overly lactic making this amazingly drinkable. Awesome well rounded Brett/Lacto complexity with balanced currants; nice oak foudre presence and malt balance against acidity. A really enjoyable offering.
