Pours crystal clear ruby reddish orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of juicy/tart/tangy dragon fruit, kiwi, berries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, passion fruit, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dragon fruit, kiwi, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of juicy/tart/tangy dragon fruit, kiwi, berries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, passion fruit, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; and herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy dragon fruit, kiwi, berries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, passion fruit, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dragon fruit, kiwi, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/tartness and tangy fruit balance. Mild lingering bitter astringency, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tartness, fruit tang, and bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic/tangy/sticky, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very good fruited/hopped Berliner. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dragon fruit, kiwi, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish, not overly lactic. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Well balanced between, juicy fruits, Lacto, and Australian hops; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Could have done without the lingering astringent bitterness; but a very enjoyable offering, and well made style example otherwise.
