Notes:
This Norwegian Style IPA was brewed with Hornindal Kveik yeast that produces tropical fruit aromas. It was then double dry hopped with Styrian Wolf & Dragon hops to impart even more citrus and pineapple hop notes. A delicate malt backbone of oats and wheat creates a soft mouthfeel to balance our soft and hazy Nordic IPA.

Definitely get the tropical fruits in smell and taste. Not an impressive head. Died quickly but leaving a nice cap with a little spotty lace that clings well. Color looks like a New England, hazy golden. Getting pineapple, passionfruit, guava, maybe star fruit which has a light watery apple taste. Some grassiness and earthiness from dry hops. Light bitterness and some sweetness but not sticky. Mouthfeel is soft, light carbonation. I like the uniqueness of flavors and goes down easy. Nice beer

Poured from can to glass. Turbid and deep yellow in color. Aroma is pineapple and melon, citrus and something not quite funky but different. The flavor is extremely earthy, with mostly pineapple and a surprising amount of honeydew melon. The earthiness damn near overpowers everything. Glad I tried it, but I'm also glad I only bought one can.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 5/2019. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, licorice, anise, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, licorice, anise, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, licorice, anise, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and yeast spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, fairly sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Syrian Wolf and Syrian Dragon hops. A bit unique, but similar to other new varieties. Very juicy, vibrant, fairly dank/earthy hops with fruity/spicy Kviek yeast; and a great balancing wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. No complaints.
