12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours moderately hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingering. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew, watermelon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light caramel/honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and dark/bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew, watermelon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light caramel/honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew, watermelon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light caramel/honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready. fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%, or lingering hop burn after the finish. Overall this is an excellent hazy IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth an pretty refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Feels like Citra, Simcoe, El Doarado. Very juicy and lightly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example as expected of the brewery. No complaints.
